QB from Pittsburgh commits to Cardinals
Tino Sunseri was around the University of Louisville football program when it was at one of the worst points in school history. His father was the linebacker coach at the school for three seasons under Ron Cooper.
Now the younger Sunseri wants to play for the Cardinals during their best of times.
The 6-foot-2 200-pounder became the first commitment of the Class of 2008 for U of L coach Steve Kragthorpe when he cast his lot Friday.
"It's a rising program," Sunseri said. "I have seen it at its worst, but now they won the Big East, and with Brian Brohm coming back they're national championship contenders. Louisville is a winning powerhouse and will always be up to winning the Big East every year."
Sunseri, who went to grade school for three years in Louisville, will be a senior at Pittsburgh Central Catholic in the fall. He threw for |
