(August 23, 2007) - It isn't difficult to envision a new franchise quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons starting next season - Brian Brohm.
Brian Brohm starred for new Falcons coach Bobby Petrino at the University of Louisville and is the accurate passer Petrino needs to maximize the effectiveness of his offense. He likes his QBs to complete at least 70 percent of their passes, and Michael Vick wasn't going to do that. Vick's NFL career completion percentage is .538, and even Petrino wasn't counting on anything better than 65 percent from Vick this season. In his 74-game NFL career, Vick has averaged only 155.5 yards passing per game.
Brian Brohm figures to have more fun this fall than Petrino. He's a top candidate for the Heisman Trophy, and Louisville's offense is loaded.
